Analyses of existing products:
This week me and my partner have been analysing three existing products for each medium we are producing. which are:
- Magazine adverts
- Digipaks
- Music videos.
When ALLOCATING ROLES in and my partner decide to split this work. So far, my partner has completed analysisng three DIGIPAKS and I have finished analysing three MUSIC VIDEOS. Click HERE for music video analysis 2 and HERE for analysis 3.
One of the music video I analysed: Laura Marling - Ghosts
I found analysing music video ONE and THREE not to hard, although it took me a while to do because I wanted to add a lot of analysis about each shot and how I will use similar shots in my video. I found music video TWO, on the other hand, quite hard to analysis. I think this was because the video did not vary much in style or camera work and so there was not many things I could pick up on that that I could use in my video.
If I was to do this task again I would take more time to have a look at a range of different music videos and find three very different videos, which all include a variety of angles and camera work.
Initial ideas:
This week I went to Lincoln to look at the University there. ON my way I took some PICTURES to give my partner and I some inspiration for the designs of our texts. My partner and I also went around our local area to take some pictures. We managed to find some good pictures, however I am a bit worried about the colours we want to use for our texts. This is because we want to use autumnul colours and at the moment the nature around us is still very green and summery.
Next week:
Next week my and partner and I will go keep looking for locations to film, for example, we may go up to Hainault Forest. We will also finish off all of our pre-production work and start to put togther the shoting script for our music video.
