(Production) - Reflection blog week 5

What I did this week:

Picture from our final treatment

This week was my pre-production deadline so I tried to look over all the work I had done in the course so far and redo anything that I thought could look or sound better. I also completed the final tasks I need to do before my deadline, such as: creating the PRODUCTION SCHEDULE and SHOOTING SCRIPT for my music video, as well as some CALL SHEETS for the video. I found these tasks relatively easy as me and my partner had already had a good plan about what the music video should be like, the location we want to film in and the actors we wanted to us. Creating a FINAL TREATMENT earlier this week also gave me and my partner a chance to discuss in detail the ideas we had for the music video, digipak and magazine advert with each other, so that when it came to putting what we wanted to create into words it was not very difficult.

What I found Difficult:
The hardest thing I found to do this week was to make sure that in the shooting script we had added enough shots in. As at the start of creating the script I found that I was adding to much detail into one shot, however after a few shots and trying to imagine what the video would look like I started to add less detail into each shot and found it the script seemed to flow a lot better.

Next week:

This weekend I went to some forests around Essex, including Hainault Forest and South Weald, so that I could have a look at which location would best fit the location my partner and I wanted for music video. Next week me and my partner will sit down and decide which location we will use.
I will also begin filming of the narrative part of our music video.
