(Pre-Production) - Feedback and analysis from my audience research survey

This is some of the feedback I received from the SURVEY I gave out to find out about what people wanted to see in a music video.

Below is some overall analysis of results about what I have found out from my audience research.

In my research, I aimed to find out what people wanted to see from a country style music video.

Firstly, After giving my pitch about what I thought the video should look like, I sat down with my class to gain some PITCH ANALYSIS. This gave me some ideas on how to make the video original, where to film and made me aware of what problems I may face along the way, e.g. Trying to find a suitable actor to play the main role.

After this I create a SURVEY, to give to twenty volunteers, who kindly agreed to give me feedback to the survey I had created to find out about what audiences wanted to see from a music video.

The results suggested that:

Location: Audiences would like to see an updated version of a country music video, using urban, city location mixed with rustic locations, such as old pubs, to contrast between the old style of country music video s and the more modern style.

Costume: The customers for the video should be some what like the customers bands such as Old Cow Medicine Show and Mumford and Sons wear.

Narrative and performance: The audience want to see a mixture of the artist performing his sing and a narrative running thought the video.

Style: The style of the video should be quite relaxed, as the song itself is relaxed. However the video should have some fast paced moments to make it stand out and keep the audience attention.

After a discussion with my PARTNER, we have decided that we will produce a music video for a song she has chosen. The song is by 50 LEAVES and is called Man On Fire.
