Summer:
During the summer holidays I wrote 25 WORDS on three songs, on what I think the songs music video would look like. This helped me decide which song to pick for my music video. Over the holidays I went to some country music concerts which inspired me to pick 'In This Life' by FRANK LEDAY.
I also created a PITCH for a music video for Leday's song, having to gain permission from the artist before I did this. In gaining permission I found some problems, because the artist did not reply to my email at first. However, after emailing the artist again, he said yes.
Week 1:
In the first week back at school I presented my PITCH to the class and had a discussion with them to gain FEEDBACK from them about what they thought about the ideas I had for the music video. I found it quite hard to get my ideas across properly, because I do not really like to get up in front of class. But my class mates said that they understood what I was trying to get across, so it worked out OK. After the feedback discussion, I found that i may have a problem finding actors for my music video. This is because the actors I need for the video would be around 25-30, if not older and I do not really know any males from this age gap who would have the time to be in the music video. In the following weeks I will sit down with my partner to discuss this problem and write a firm final treatment.
